The Albertan – Master Neo-Victorian
The Albertan theme: Cow skulls, wild roses and Ukrainian patterning (taken directly from the giant Ukrainian easter egg in Vegreville) on the Master-Neo Victorian.
Cow Skull Symbolism: Cows are highly respected and treated as sources of life across cultures. The cow skull pays homage to what was, the fruits of life and are an emblem of mortality. Protection from all natural elements, strength, courage and death.
Wild Rose Symbolism: A powerful symbol of passion. It is associated with Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love, who is often portrayed with a crown of roses on her head. Also a symbol of balance and new beginnings. It is contrasted by thorns symbolizing defence and loss. The wild rose brings an open simplicity to these traits.
